The Armstrongs are retired from Association of
Baptists for World Evangelism after teaching at the seminary level in
the Far East for many years. They currently live in OR and still make
frequent trips to teach in the Far East.

Bacon
The Bacons served with Evangelical Baptist
Missions for many years in church planting and educational ministries in
Niger and Benin, West Africa; and Quebec and Prince Edward Island,
Canada. They are presently living in Ontario, Canada.

Mary Baer
Mary Baer served with her husband, Phil, until
his death in 1999 as Wycliffe Translators to the Lacondone Indians of
Southern Mexico. Phil and Mary were our church’s first missionaries.
Mary is now retired but still active in translation work, visiting the
field as needed for the work.

Eleanor Brittain
Eleanor, with her late husband Stan, retired
from Baptist Mid-Missions. They served as church planting missionaries
in Liberia, Hawaii, and England. Now living in California, she is still
able to go calling with a group from her local church.

Carmichael
The Carmichaels have served in Mali, West
Africa; Scotland; Evangelical Baptist Missions’ Home Office; and
England. Bill and Lois are now serving at Bible Baptist Church in
Kokomo, IN, as Associate Pastor of Senior Ministries and Missions.

Franklin
The Franklins served in church planting and
leadership training in the Caribbean with World Team. They are still
involved in serving in that part of the world as they are able.

Fremont
The Fremonts retired from Association of
Baptists for World Evangelism after nearly 50 years of serving in Hong
Kong and the Philippines. However, Carson and Joyce continue to make
extended trips to the Far East, teaching seminary classes, preparing
radio broadcasts, and assisting in churches.

Gaston
The Gastons served as missionaries with Baptist
Mid-Missions to Native Americans in the Southwest for many years. In
retirement, Ellis continues to speak in churches, help in camp ministry,
and provide New Testaments to truckers at nearby truck stops.

Beulah Hager
Beulah served with Baptist Mid-Missions from
1952 to 1975 in the Dominican Republic and now works in a Spanish work
in South Carolina. She conducts a Hispanic ladies’ Bible class and
teacher training seminars.

Hammond
Dee recently moved to Ohio after serving with
the JOY Club ministry with Baptist Church Planters in North Carolina for
many years. She was involved in various teaching ministries in the
promotion and establishment of clubs for boys & girls.

Lucy Hogue
Lucy served with her husband, Howard, in church
planting for many years with Baptist Mid-Missions. Howard has gone home
to be with the Lord, and Lucy now makes her home in Mooresville, IN,
where she is active in her church and community.

Marshall
The Marshall served with Evangelical Baptist
Missions in West Africa. After retiring as Evangelical Baptist
Missions’ General Director, they began serving in the Double Harvest
project in Haiti. Double Harvest provides work and food from 150 acres
of farmland, as well as a school, a medical clinic, and a church. The
Marshalls are now retired living in VA.

McCullough
Maxine served the Lord in Brazil with Baptist
Mid-Missions for many years with her late husband, Dynes. She now lives
in Sebring, FL, and was active in her church and community until she was
disabled by a fall and complications.

The Richards served in West and South Africa as
church planters with Evangelical Baptist Missions. In retirement, they
continue to encourage the South African churches through prayer,
letters, and occasional visits, as well as being active in their local
church in North Carolina.

Don & Betty remain active after retiring as
director of Harvest Productions, the film and video ministry of
Evangelical Baptist Missions, producing evangelistic videos and DVDs in

The Stocktons served with Baptist Mid-Missions
in Venezuela and Puerto Rico, as well as supply missionaries on
Spanish-speaking fields until their retirement in 2002.

Baptists for World Evangelism, the Stoners now live in Grand Rapids, MI,
Bill helps in a rehab hospital as an interpreter & ministries in a
Baptist church with a group of Spanish believers.

Versluis
As special liaison for Baptist Mid-Missions’
Asian ministries, Paul and Genella traveled extensively giving guidance and
enlisting prayer & financial support for Bible correspondence courses,
theological training, church planting, Christian schools, children’s
homes, printing, and radio broadcasting in Asian countries. Paul was also
the founder of Bibles International. Paul passed away in 2011.
