Small Groups

Hebrews 10:23-25
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

We believe that long-term, effective change in the lives of people occurs through authentic relationships with one another.

  • provide a way to cultivate Christian relationships
  • can meet in homes, a coffee shop, or at church
  • include fellowship, Bible discussions, and prayer
  • provide insight in dealing with life issues
  • provide connecting points for everyone in the church

We want to provide opportunities for every person to develop healthy relationships and use their gifts to strengthen the church as a whole.  If you are not in a small group yet, we’ll help you to get connected with one!

Outreach

We believe that we are called to reach out to our neighbor, locally and globally. At Bible Baptist Church, we have a passion to connect with our world.

Local opportunities

  • The Harvest Food Collection is held in November to support the Baptist Children’s Home. We also regularly communicate the needs of BCH to the church congregation.
  • Helping Hands Ministry endeavors to serve others.  Ladies in our church meet monthly to pray, plan, and serve our church, our missionaries, and local ministries when there is a need.  We also send birthday gifts to each of our missionary ladies. Helping Hands meets the 3rd Monday of every month (except June and July) at 10:00am in Room 115.
  • Hope Biblical Counseling Center is open to everyone.  If you are dealing with individual or family problems, we invite you to call us to set up an appointment where we will teach you to apply biblical principles in a practical and life-changing manner.  You may call the church office, 455-1444, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday for this free service.
  • Kinsey Youth Center Ministry involves discipleship and teaching sessions, which include interaction and an occasional recreational time. We will minister to both the residential and high security students.
  • Men’s Full-Court Basketball Outreach is a year-round sports ministry designed for fellowship & outreach.  Basketball takes place every Monday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in our gym. A short devotional is given halfway through the evening.
  • Angel Tree helps the families of prison inmates in Kokomo and surrounding counties.  From November to mid-December, volunteers purchase Christmas gifts for the children of the inmates in the name of their mother or father.  The goals are to promote healing between parents and children and share the love of Christ with those who may never have experienced it.

Global Outreach

We have a strong desire to reach others outside our normal sphere of influence. Sponsoring missionaries or “those we send” is a means of accomplishing two important goals:  1) proclaiming to others that would otherwise not have the means or opportunity to hear the true word of God, and 2) having the privilege of hearing reports back from those we send so we can remain in touch with what God is doing in distant (and sometimes remote) places. This helps us to keep in tune with a heart for others rather than getting all wrapped up in our own busy lives that we live day to day.
